I am a woman of many bowls. I never met a bowl I didn’t like. Or mug. Or dish. Or cute little ramekin. I can’t resist them. I mean, there’s no one vessel that’s right for every purpose. I have this adorable little bowl with blue scrolling I got as a gift long ago, and I almost always use it for chia pudding. And my smoothies need a GIGANTIC goblet in order to feel decadent and look beautiful for presentation. Or maybe a mason jar. It depends on the day.
Salads? They need something the size of a charger, a pasta plate, a serving bowl. And don’t salads with their bright hues look fantastic on white? But sometimes I like the brilliance of a bold primary color to play up the beauty of the veggies. Or sometimes I am just feeling more square than round. Or more martini glass than goblet. Or more clear glass than porcelain mug. Is it just me???
The point is this: I have too much dishware, and my husband said I couldn’t get any more unless it was my job. Well, now it is
Truthfully, this is a great metaphor for how I am in the world. I am a woman of many bowls, hats, passions and professions. And I’ve finally decided maybe this is a good thing. I am not overstretched, I’m DIVERSE. And a Life Delectable is the place where my many passions and pursuits come together to make a concoction that is (hopefully) so much greater than the sum of its parts.
If you’ve looked around at all, you’ll know I’m all about spirited yoga, food savvy, beautiful branding, and a little wine-ing from time to time. And I really do believe all those things can go together.
Here on the blog, we’ll talk about just HOW to create A Life Delectable. When I find a fantastic wine that won’t break the bank, I will let you know. Beauty finds that are great for you and the planet too? You betcha! New recipes that make your taste buds zing and your system hum? Coming at you! And you know we’ll be talking about spirited, sweaty, deeply grounding yoga. And that’s just the beginning. Who knows what other delectable aspects will come into play as we go?
